Why We Exist

The Minnow Academy was born out of a deep desire to see children not only thrive academically but also grow in wisdom, character, and unshakable identity in Christ. We believe education should do more than just prepare students for the next test—it should prepare them for their calling.

After teaching and homeschooling, our founder, Jessica K. Fischer, saw the growing hunger in her community for something different: a school rooted in truth, focused on the whole child, and flexible enough to support modern families. What started around the kitchen table is now a growing movement to raise up the next generation of Kingdom-minded leaders.

The Mission… Not Impossible!

At The Minnow Academy, we are committed to raising up the next generation of God-driven, free-thinking disciples who are equipped to go into the world as Christ’s hands and feet. As a hybrid Christian school, we provide a dynamic learning environment that blends in-person instruction with home-based education, allowing students to develop both academic excellence and deep spiritual maturity. Guided by our seven biblical pillars, we seek to:

  • Know the King and His Kingdom (Matthew 6:33)

  • Worship in Spirit and Truth (Revelation 4:11)

  • Cultivate Godly Character (1 Timothy 4:12)

  • Serve and Make Disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • Live Above Reproach (Philippians 2:15)

  • Study God’s Creation (Romans 1:20)

  • Build Sustainable, Christ-Centered Communities (Acts 2:43-47)

Our mission is not just to teach ABC’s and 123’s, but to lay firm foundations of faith, wisdom, and action at every age. Through biblical discipleship, rigorous education, hands-on service, and community-building, we prepare students to stand boldly in their faith, navigate the world with Godly wisdom, and lead with integrity.

At Minnow Academy, students may come as little minnows, but by the time they leave, they will be bold men and women of God, ready to do His will and impact the world for Christ.

Our Approach

We are a hybrid Christian school that blends the best of classroom learning with the freedom of home education. Students attend in person Tuesday–Thursday (8:30am- 2:30pm) and complete home-based instruction the rest of the week. This rhythm gives families flexibility while still providing structure, support, and discipleship.
